After you download
🪟 Windows — Installing Docuit
- Open the Microsoft Store listing and click Get or Install.
- Once installed, launch Docuit from the Start menu.
- Create your account or sign in directly inside the app.
🍎 macOS — Installing Docuit
- Open the downloaded Docuit-arm64.dmg file.
- Drag Docuit.app to your Applications folder.
- Launch Docuit from Applications.
- When prompted, grant the following permissions — these are required for Docuit to work:
- Screen Recording — so Docuit can observe the work you choose to document.
- Accessibility — so Docuit can identify which window you are working in.
These are standard macOS permissions. Nothing is captured until you start a session — you stay in full control.

How do I control what gets documented?▾
You have full control. You choose which window or app's work gets documented before you start — nothing else is included. You start and stop manually so only the work you intend to document is captured. If you need to pause or exclude something, stop Docuit and restart when ready.
How is my privacy protected?▾
You decide what gets documented — nothing is captured passively or without your input. Content is processed to generate your deliverable and then permanently deleted. Your data is never sold or used to train external AI models. Generated deliverables are stored for 30 days and accessible anytime from your workspace at app.docuit.ai.
Which operating systems are supported?▾
Docuit supports Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and macOS on Apple silicon (M-series). Intel Macs are not currently supported.
How long does a deliverable take to be ready?▾
Most deliverables are ready within a few minutes after your session ends. Longer or more complex sessions may take slightly longer to process.
Do you support multiple languages?▾
Yes. Docuit supports generating deliverables in 19 languages including English, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, French, German, and more.
What are the session and plan limits?▾
The free plan includes 5 sessions per month, reset monthly. Each session supports up to 60 minutes of capture. Processing time varies depending on session length. To get unlimited sessions, upgrade to Pro at $15/month from your workspace at app.docuit.ai/settings.
What is the Docuit Workspace?▾
The Docuit Workspace at app.docuit.ai is where all your sessions, documents, and deliverables live. You can access it from any device — including mobile — view your session history, preview deliverables in any language, share documents with a link, export as PDF or Word, and manage your plan. It's included free for all users.
I need to re-download — what do I do?▾
Just use the download buttons above. Windows users can reinstall anytime from the Microsoft Store — your account and documents are tied to your login, not the device. Mac users can re-download the installer directly from this page. All your documents remain accessible at app.docuit.ai.
Do you train on or share my data?▾
No. Your content and generated deliverables are stored only so you can view, edit, and export them. We don't sell your data or use it to train external AI models. Deliverables are retained for 30 days.
Is there an enterprise version?▾
